In 8th grade, we had an influx of Haitian students in my school. The students didn't speak to anyone. They only took classes together & we attributed that to just starting ESL. We intrinsically knew something traumatic must have happened for them to feel so isolated amongst hundreds of kids in school. Not once did we or our parents question their right to be there.

This Haitian pet eating shit bothers me. If a 13 year old understands the humanity of refugeeism, so can a fucking 78 year old. 😡
