The felon's need to campaign isn't Judge Merchan's problem. If he doesn't sentence him to a harsh punishment bc he has things to do, that won't look very good, and I doubt Merchan wants that to be his legacy.

I actually hope and pray the Juan sentences him to house arrest (minimum) from now til - say - the end of the year! Just thinking out loud here.

I agree, I'd be happy with home confinement, but with an ankle bracelet, and he can only leave the property to do community service at a woman's shelter (scrubbing toilets seems fair). I'll even gift him his own toilet brush. 😂
