I think what people might not fully appreciate is that, especially after last year, the intensity of these #atmosphericriver storms in California has changed & keeps changing & scaling up. It’s not same as it ever was. It’s not 'but we had a flood 100 or 1000 years ago so whatevs.' Same goes for our droughts & wildfires. It’s shocking. So this isn’t normal run of the mill storm anxiety. It’s that we are feeling in our bones that this is a newly hostile planet thanks to manmade #ClimateChange.

Please don't take my reply as glib or off-handed: The planet is *not* hostile. It (she) is in a cleaning /rejuvenation cycle. We've dumped far too much pollution into the seas & air & all over the land & humans hv put everything out of balance.
The Earth is shaking things up now. Do your best to prepare, & hold on for the ride. It will get more intense for the next few years, before it gets better, (or easier,) for us all.
Be wise, get prepared. We're all in this together.
Pls. Not meant that way!😔
@mims
Ok, just a reminder that there are some intense climate-change fueled emergency events that one cannot prepare for.
