My babe wanted to play in the snow this morning so after some rainbow waffles, we ventured out into the backyard. The snow was too sandy to build a snowman but we proceeded, undeterred, with building an ant hotel—it definitely doesn’t matter that ants want nothing to do with snow. We built them a swirly slide from the dried up husks from the Catalpa tree behind the garage. We also made them a skating pond from ice we harvested from the usually marshy bit of the yard behind the garage. #snowday
