Hey @th3j35t3r ,
Boss, scuttlebutt says Muskrat is about to merge X with Truth Social. Nothing to confirm it yet but that'll be some serious crap if true.
You heard anything solid about it? ๐ค
I have heard that RUMINT too.
Well, it's a completely senseless idea that would put Elmo's money into Dickless' pocket for no good reason at all, which puts it right up both of their alleys, I guess.
You know it will happen. You canโt have two attention whores in a relationship
@Thumprhare @th3j35t3r @mcfate @Heucuva8 Does one whore eventually subsume the other? Or do they both simultaneously combust like matter and anti-matter meeting?
@mikeharmanos @Thumprhare @th3j35t3r @Heucuva8
They all murder one another, given enough time.
@mikeharmanos @Thumprhare @th3j35t3r @Heucuva8
Me, I find attention whores useful, nobody pays attention to what I'M getting up to if there are some around.
@mcfate @mikeharmanos @th3j35t3r @Heucuva8
Thatโs kinda where we are already. OJ and Leon acting fools, meanwhile the smart fascists are dismantling and stripping the country
@Thumprhare @mikeharmanos @th3j35t3r @Heucuva8
You're going to have to get more specific on this "dismantling" and "stripping", keeping in mind that I live in California.
If some fascist wants to "dismantle" and "strip" Hellabama, there's an argument to be made that nothing of value was actually lost.
Agreed. They're dismantling and stripping nothing. They're just importing all the mud they prefer to roll around in.
It's only dismantling and stripping to those who place any value on the Constitution, Rule of Law, Empathy, etc.
@Heucuva8 @mcfate @mikeharmanos @th3j35t3r
They are a distraction to the destruction caused by the folks already in place or being appointed that are smart enough to actually take rights and effectively dismantle democracy. Clearer?
@Thumprhare @Heucuva8 @mikeharmanos @th3j35t3r
I'd prefer some concrete examples.
@mcfate @Thumprhare @Heucuva8 @th3j35t3r
Regarding banking regulation, Project 2025 recommends "merg[ing] the FDIC, the OCC, the NCUA, and the Federal Reserve's non-monetary supervisory and regulatory functions" in a footnote, the document says that "deposit insurance undermines ['the incentives of bank depositors ... to monitor bank portfolios']"
No more credit unions. Banks will no longer have guaranteed safety.
@mcfate @Thumprhare @Heucuva8 @th3j35t3r Thereโs no penalty for that now.
@mcfate @Thumprhare @Heucuva8 @th3j35t3r Iโm sorry - I wasnโt clear. Neither banks nor credit unions will need to protect my assets. They can just do with it what they please.
Of course, that leads to bank closures when the bank does what it pleases with my money.
@mikeharmanos @Thumprhare @Heucuva8 @th3j35t3r
It leads to bank closures when people just buy safes. That's what people who don't want banks to do what they please with their money will do.
Cool way to kill the banking business, but I bet they'll object. And they've got ENDLESS lawyers.
ยฏ\_(ใ)_/ยฏ
@mikeharmanos @Thumprhare @Heucuva8 @th3j35t3r
Okay, just so we ARE clear, the banks and CUs do not "protect your assets", the FDIC does.
And their payments to FDIC for insurance aren't a big line item. It's insurance.
@mikeharmanos @Thumprhare @Heucuva8 @th3j35t3r
There's no legal barrier to banks investing in stuff that turns out to be dumb.
It happened to Silicon Valley Bank. They get taken over, taken apart, and sold off.
@mikeharmanos @Thumprhare @Heucuva8 @th3j35t3r
Sure there is. If your safe gets stolen, the FDIC won't reimburse you a dime for the money that was inside.
Why would anyone who had their money in a CU now feel compelled to move it into a bank that won't even insure their deposits? What's the incentive?
