One has to ask:
When people deny the existence of the real consequences of voting for fascists–based on the fascists' own words–is it because they are so bereft of brain function that it's a miracle they're still breathing?
Is it because they suffer from an optimism so deranged that it's overpowered reasoning?
Or is it because they want a license to hate and harm, but they lack the courage to be held accountable for it?

I’d contend the answer is in there. TL:DR - the people are either victims of propaganda (the voters of fascism) ot victims of terror (the opponents of fascism).
