@mikeharmanos Those billionnaire fools are typically donating large sums to both parties, so that no matter who wins, their lobbyists will have a seat in their offices.

I think it's purely a crime that we've been tricked into thinking that those lobbyists have any purpose other than maximizing profit and influence.

@mikeharmanos I don't think you are aware of what a lobbyist is.
There are a very small number of lobbyists who work for nonprofit interest groups like Mothers Against Drunk Driving, or Greenpeace.
They have almost _zero_ power to affect things, because the other 90+% of influence comes from corporate/industr and big donors.
When politicians take big donations, they listen to the lobbyists from those big donors. Not you, and not your little groups.
