Maddow: I want to associate myself with all my colleagues who have voiced principled objections to our company putting on the payroll someone who hasn't just attacked us as journalists, but someone who is part of an ongoing project to get rid of our system of government.
I know it’s likely false hope based on McDaniel’s side stepping so far, but she’s certainly at the point where she has the opportunity to step forward, atone, tell the truth & make amends. She could use this moment to be a powerful force for healing.
If I found myself in as dirty and crooked a hole as she is, I hope I’d have the strength to use the situation for the greater good instead of reaching for a shovel to dig the hole deeper.
