Can I get Cosonaut opinions on the term "herd immunity"?

It's a term I like to avoid when speaking about people, but I'm seeing it more and more in publications.

@flygande_ren it is when over 65% of a population has become immune to a disease. For complete protection of vulnerable populations, the immunity needs to be grater than 90%. The maximum exposure to Covid-19 is probably 2% to a maximum of 5%. This means that at a 120k dead at 2-5% infected, we would have 1.5M to 3.9M dead at initial herd immunity.

@flygande_ren p.s. - vaccines work by creating a herd immunity. if magically, we had a vaccine and immunized 65% of the population, the worst case scenario would not happen.
