CoSo I need configuration help.

I had a 3 column CoSo interface: left colum to post, firehose/timeline in the center, notifications on the right. Then I clicked some button unvoluntarily, and now the two side columns are gone. How do I go back to the previous layout???

TIA!

@mfioretti

The posting column never goes away entirely, though maybe you need to scroll left to see it?

To get the Navigation panel on the right back at any time you can position your cursor anywhere but in a text entry field, and type "g" + "s" at the same time. That should bring it back to the top if something was covering it.

From the Nav panel you can click firehose or friends or notification etc to recreate those columns, and remember to 'pin' them to make them stick.

@ceorl Thanks for the prompt reply, but maybe I did not make myself clear. What I see now is in this screenshot, and there is nothing to scroll to, left or right.

Before, in exactly the same window, I saw three columns at the same time: the text input field to post new stuff (L), the community firehose in the center, and notifications on the right. How do I get back to that?

@mfioretti

Ah yes, that is 'Simplified Mode'. There should be a column on the right with the option to return to 'Advanced Mode'.

Maybe if you zoom out a bit it will appear? (control/minus or control/scrollwheel)

@mfioretti

Oh could you have unintentionally selected 'Simplified Mode'? The fix for that is 'Advanced Mode'. :)

@ceorl closer, but not there yet.

I was indeed in simplified mode.

I have switched back to advanced mode.

Now I do have 3 columns again, but (unlike before) their width does not adapt to the browser window anymore

See screenshot. Now, I either see the mentions, OR the firehose.

What's missing? Thanks!

@mfioretti

Excellent.

The column width adjustment control is the thin strip on the right edge of the column headings - I've tried to point my red arrow at it in the attached image.

Just grab that handle and drag it to the width you like.

@ceorl YES! This is all I needed.

Thanks, I'd have hardly seen that strip myself...
