October rains
And a wind from the east
But it's warm in my heart
Blood red berries
Rowan and Hawthorn
Will light my way
And the gold in the woods
From beech, ash and maple
Will brighten my day
A Goldfinch cloud
Tinkles by
Twinkling golden
as they fly
Gulls are gathering
Geese are calling
The gorse alight
And constellations
Of shining buttercups
In the misty green.
