Misty again
But a thin mist
Somehow I can see through it
Into the green
Down to the valley
There were deer in the garden
Again last night
And I wonder what it all means
I chose the steep route
And worked hard for the summit
Followd by pipits
And goldfinches tinkling
Heard but not seen
Lost in the mist.
A single magpie
Watches as I pass by
But I feel no sorrow
Only joy
I can feel the light

It's as though the air is sparkling
It's like I'm in the land
In the landscape
Inside it
A part of it
And the air is moving
A soft breeze, breathing
And above me
There's gold and silver
And I'm completely
Taken by the music.

@matty7w
That's how your poems make me feel
-like I’m a part of it.
I really love that.
Even as a child nature was my church and refuge. It fed my soul.
Thanks for the nourishment of your woods.

@allin feeds my soul too. Can't imagine what life would be like if I was too busy to notice. How much poorer my life would be.
Thanks so much for reading and enjoying my poems, Shelley. You are very kind
