I'm not a fan of gun control in general but I'm not some redneck that has a problem with literally *any* form of gun control, either. IMO the Houston police chief is 100% correct - firearms need to be kept out of the hands of domestic abusers.
According to one statistic, "an abuser’s access to a firearm increases the risk of intimate partner femicide by 400% and 20% of victims were family members, neighbors, persons who intervened, or law enforcement."
