I've been raging about the R. Kelly allegations for months, because his abuse of girls is repugnant and I think the dude needs to be buried under a prison. Yet my posts on the topic get very little traction or response except from those friends of mine who are people of color. Apparently white people just don't consider the abuse of black girls is their problem. It's "other".
Be better than that, people.
@malice The truth from where I stand is that I find following all abuse cases too traumatic.
I see them.
I care.
But I do not comment because it is a conversation I do not want to have right now.
It is selfish, I know but I am dealing with what hapoened to me as a child.
So for me, conversations like that are too difficult.
@stueytheround Yeah I get that and I know a lot of people feel similarly. I cope by taking on uncomfortable subjects head on, but I don't expect other people to. Everyone copes in their own way <3
