Okay, I will be honest, While a player to pick up online radio stations would be cool, it would be expensive...especially music rights (save for any pre 1922 sound recordings)
@RobPalmerIRL The stations broadcasting the music are the ones who are responsible for licensing, so that *shouldn't* be an issue. But given the agencies involved, one never knows.
@mach1group You're not wrong, ASCAP, BMI, SEASAC, and the RIAA want their money, right now.

@RobPalmerIRL I'm an advisor/operator of a college radio station (terrestrial and online). We get killed every budget year by licensing.
@mach1group that's understood, plus God have mercy stage plays, that's additional licenses that have to be brought.
@RobPalmerIRL Fortunately, we're a student run organization, so the rest of the College's licenses are on them.
