If it all goes to shit in a handbasket we live close enough to the US that we would just back up north to the Yukon. Lots of places to just disappear to. And let's face it, most people, even the rwnj's don't like temps in the -40's 5 months of the year.
@Tacitus_Kilgore @lisaannlm That's way too cold for me. Coldest weather I've ever experienced was 6°F (-15°C) with a -25°F (-32°C) wind chill.
@lisaannlm Surprisingly, if you're dressed for it, it's not that bad. I grew up here on the Atlantic coast and I can tell you that -10 C is freaking cold because it goes right to your bones. The dry cold in the north is much easier to handle if you wear proper layers.
@lisaannlm The coldest I ever experienced was -55 with a wind chill of freeze your ass off.
