There is a certain kind of sadness that comes from seeing people you care about falling deep into the rabbit holes of propaganda and right wing rhetoric from spending too much time on the internet.
@AskTheDevil it really is. And just not being able to do anything about it because you become part of 'them' when you draw attention to it. It really is a delusion and makes my heart break a little more each time 😢
@lilyunsub Yes. It's like watching them slowly go mad from any other brain-destroying disease.
It's like watching someone get Syphillis, or argumentative dementia, or slip into paranoid hallucinations.
But it's not a physical virus, it is an informational virus.
It's also a little like possession or obsession.
