It’s been exactly one week since I lost my mother, and while I wish I could say things are starting to get easier, each day has been more difficult than the last. I have a litany of mental health issues that make basic functionality a challenge on most days, and a tragedy of this magnitude has only exacerbated those issues.
It genuinely feels like reality glitched out and failed to reset itself.
@TheCard Losing your mother is one of the hardest things in the world to overcome. I know my mother has been gone for over 20 yrs and I still miss her. Give yourself some grace because it is a process. If you can find a grief counseling group that helps. People who will let you be yourself and be present with your feelings without judging you. Please take care of yourself and hang in there.
@lenacay63 Thank you so much. I honestly don’t think I have the strength to endure this loss.
@TheCard I didn't think I could either. I almost jumped in after her at the grave site, but you just have to make it one hour at a time or one minute at a time. It is a process, but you can get through it. I wish I could give you a big hug, 🤗
