So, I'm a "techy guy" according to people who know me, though I only just have a cursory power user knowledge of computers.
Anyway, that was enough for my boss to call me first thing in the morning and ask me to come fix our store's computers and registers. For a brief couple hours I felt important, like that scene in Armageddon when they begin stripping the nuke apart and reprogramming it in a rush π.

Incidentally, I'm proud of myself. At 9:40ish last night PST I was there when the system came to an abrupt halt and everything began crashing. One of my clerks began spreading a rumor "it must be a virus or cyber attack" and I shut him down immediately and said "no, it's most likely just a bad update they didn't properly check!" I really didn't want him making customers think something extreme they could bring to the news and I also felt strongly it had to be an update. I'm proud I was right!
