I've started a modest vanity blog about script writing. It's called The Written Trek. The idea is to write about each episode's script, starting with the Original Series.

This is not "it sucks." The idea is to provide historical context and evolution. Two articles are already on the blog, explaining the factors and influences that led to the creation of Star Trek and its original format.

@kismatt One led to the other. I wrote for licensees starting with TNG S1. I knew Joe Straczynski long before B5 sold; no one at WB knew the market like I did, and I had JMS's trust, so I transitioned over to B5.

Probably the "mic drop" project was the B5 cookbook. It's worth $$$ if you can find it. I came up with writing it into the storyline, and JMS agreed. It appeared in a S5 episode, so it's canon.

@WordsmithFL I didn't get into B5 until part of the way into S3, and basically drove all of my friends nuts with my obsession (yes, I don't foist my obsessions on them anymore. I was Talked To about it).

I don't think I have the cookbook! Now I'll have to look for it. I'm sure it HAS to have the recipe for Spoo in it. ;)
