Many years ago... it was a late saturday evening, and it was relatively calm at home, but there was nothing on the TV.

I flipped to the PBS station and saw a scifi show. No clue what it was, so sat and watched a little bit.

It was Red Dwarf... the first episode I watched was DNA from season 4. Below is one of the scenes that cemented it as something I neede dto see more of.

@sentientdessert For STL, Sunday night after 10:30 was Dr Who and Red Dwarf on PBS. For years and years.

Miss that.

@kismatt We had 2 in my area. KRMA had the comedies, and KBDI had Dr Who and the dramas. All after watershed.

Are You Being Served, Keeping Up Appearances, The Vicar of Dibley, Allo, Allo, Goodnight Sweetheart, Blackadder, Mr Bean, The Thin Blue Line... I got introduced to a lot of british comedy...

They never had Flying Circus though, I would guess it was too much to option back then.

@sentientdessert I believe most of those were after I watched DW & RD - I think we had Benny Hill on after RD, and then that was the end of the broadcast day (!!)

It was right at the start of RD's run, so late 80's. I liked Star Cops from back then as well. :D That was a short one, tho, 8 or 9 eps.
