So.. I've been looking for a low (<12" high) stand for the 65" TV.. Very little to choose from, $$$ and it's all pressed wood which I'm not confident will handle the weight (it's what I have now and it's bowing). When I was in the military, we built 'entertainment centers' with cement blocks and wood boards. I'm leaning towards doing that again even though that's dusty and kinda fugly.

This is not what I had in mind when I tried to age backwards...

@TrueBloodNet You could use the current one and put a thicker board on top of it. Unless the current one is bowed enough to be obvious

@TrueBloodNet also, check Lowes & IKEA. I bought mine from Lowes a couple of years ago - it was on clearance
