@Minholkin That's how they think. Anything not sold gets thrown away.
I snagged a perfectly good (and comfy!) chair from my mom's after her estate sale was finished, and it was headed to the dumpster.
Makes no sense to me.
Same. All the useful things were given to charities.
We literally watched people drive away with things we had dropped off an hour before.
Easy to be happy for them <3
The kids all have neighborhood ‘don’t buy anything’ types of deals for exchanging no longer needed things. I think it is awesome.
We’ve had great luck with Goodwill too.
My fav recycle thing is hubby’s hobby of finding old unplayable guitars and brings them back to life. Their stories live on. 👍😎

New College of Florida- had a free table. If you’re done using something- put it on the table and let someone else have it. Great culture for a college. People knitted strange hats for the table and watch their knitting make a stranger happy. They drew the line at food- some kids put a pizza on the table and the school health department said that was dangerous- everything else was cool. Textbooks/ cameras /music/ games.

I love this.

When we clears out my parents house, everything we didn’t want was given away. All of it.
There was hardly any trash.
It felt ethical and responsible. The waste hurts my brain.
