@Ellico2020bis I have a friend who lives in MA who is /was on a school board, and is actually on a list that someone published in the local paper of "who not to vote for!!!" He's apparently too liberal for whoever put the ad in the paper.
What's funny is that he's a *moderate*. Just about as unassuming as anything.
It was almost like they needed an extra name.
@kismatt School committee platforms generally only entail specific groups (children of immigrants or from non-English-speaking households, those with disabilities) or they are just people screaming "PARENTS! I HAVE KIDS IN THE SCHOOL!" I have to read the individuals as much as listen to their trite and often unspecific policy positions.
Often, the candidates exclude themselves I have to vote for 3 out of 6 candidates, but only like 2. No one brings all perspectives, so I am voting diverse.
