Caveat: I am not a lawyer! But I have been reading about the "Respect for Marriage Act".
The act protects the rights of states to allow or disallow same sex marriage. But NOT that all states must continue same-sex marriages if Obergefell is overruled at SCOTUS. It also specifically allows religious organizations (including social service agencies run by religious organizations) to refuse services, accommodations, etc to same-sex couples.
