Trying an experimental dry rub for smoked chicken drumsticks today. Pecan chunks will provide the rest of the flavor.

This will be the first time trying black cardamom. Indian friends gave me a jar of pods, and it has this amazing smokey but complex aroma.
They told me the whole pods work great in slow braises as well. Maybe if I can manage to find reasonably priced short ribs...
