Janet still loves you all, and thinks you all should be loving and adoring her.
I know the action in the street is excitin’
But Jesus, between all the bleedin’ ‘n fightin’
I’ve been readin’ ‘n writin’
We need to handle our financial situation
Are we a nation of states? What’s the state of our nation?
I’m past patiently waitin’. I’m passionately
Smashin’ every expectation
Every action’s an act of creation!
I’m laughin’ in the face of casualties and sorrow
For the first time, I’m [not] thinkin’ past tomorrow

Watched an episode of X-Files last night with Tony Shalhoub appearing in it. So of course I wake up with this song in my head.
From the repository of useless trivial information:
* Tricky originally and briefly was with the group Massive Attack.
* Alanis Morissette co-wrote this song with Tricky, and provides the high background vocalizations.
* You may know Tricky from being Zorg's right-hand man.
Enjoy!

Just going to leave this here...

@luv2readtx no. Worry about every black disabled person who will more than likely die because police do whatever they want at no cost.
I haven't been on much of late, but I do want to express a huge amount of gratitude to the individual who helped @Qbae and myself with supplies for the puppy fostering.
You have helped more than you can ever realize.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you.
I have an admission to make: I hold a childish, irrational, long-standing grudge against the Iranian government, as Khomeini completely ruined my 9th birthday. So it will forever negatively colour my perception of any action, deceleration, or statement by that government.
Sounds stupid in the grand scheme of things, but there you have it.
RIP Neil. Your lyrics moved a generation.
The future disappears into memory
With only a moment between
Forever dwells in that moment
Hope is what remains to be seen.

Thanks xkcd for the epiphany that the Matrix simulation we are stuck in was programmed using MATLAB:
>>decade = 1:10
Sure, it great for manipulating matrices. But come on, really? No wonder I am stuck with so many many off-by-one errors in life.
Good morning CoSo! ☕
A friend of mine just got a senior position at the "Rolls-Royce of reporting" for IT tech. I find myself simultaneously extremely happy at their success, and deeply envious.
Considering that for the past year, I have have been hunting jobs that use said tech.
I just want to use the skills that I have been developing since '13 - answering unanswerable questions, not as a side component of my job, but as the job itself. Somewhere my skillset is appreciated.
Odd synchronicity today in the #TinFoilHats category. Rarely do you get to track down the source of various conspiracy theories, but in this case, you find the firehose of SVR propaganda:
"Booth and his wife have spent the past 15 years cooking up fabricated tales of impending war, government cover-ups, looming financial collapse, alien arrivals, Satanic acts, earthquake weapons, man-made hurricanes, global apocalypse, and deep state machinations of all descriptions."

Speaking of #TinFoilHats, we can't leave out the newest anthem for their wearers...
From aluminum foil (foil)
Wear a hat that's foil lined
In case an alien's inclined
To probe your butt or read your mind
Looks a bit peculiar ('culiar)
Seems a little crazy
But someday I'll prove (I'll prove, I'll prove, I'll prove)
There's a big conspiracy

While cruising YouTube to get the right video/song I wanted, I get this nice little advert.
Does Google know, or suspect, something about me that I don't, where I need to be price shopping air ambulance rides?
RIP Marie Fredriksson.
She says, "hello, you fool, I love you
C'mon join the joyride"

Thank you to everyone who helped out @Qbae today! You all are amazing, and wonderful.
Only downside is that I charged what the market will bear (no pun intended) since I was doing it for a friend of a friend.
That's something that I really need to learn how to do though: price my skillset properly, with less "do it for the exposure" pricing. Various calculators online tell me that with my experience (first learned AI and PS in...um...'92) I should have charged high 3-digits.
Any advise from anyone making a living as graphic designers on here?
Received a graphic design commission for a logo for someone's travel and adventure website - my first paying commission in, um, about five years. Nailed it on the first try with the client being ecstatic at having their idea actualized!
Apparently I still got the skills.
Nice thing about a "holiday week" at work is squeezing in time to play in AI for fun and profit.
Side rant: ugh, I am detesting AI CC 2020. WTF Adobe?! AI is AI, so quit trying to make it PS!
