@northernbassist Maybe the floor was bouncing some sound that was cancelling the main sound waves because they were delayed just enough to be an inverse wave? I think that's how noise cancellation works.
My ceiling is angled, though…and I have absorbing panels in the corners behind the mains. For a long box with hard bright walls, it’s surprisingly dead. I’ll take whatever synergy is working here…everything I’ve played is noticeably better.
