@jurban you practically need an armored vehicle up there these days, I hear. I’ve not been up there for over a year. My friends moved out of the city and haven’t been up there either so I don’t know. How is it?

It's better than ever, actually.
The Tenderloin has never been good, and that's where most of the trouble is. Our neighborhood has more retail filling vacant stores than well before COVID. The new DA and fewer ultra progressives in city hall are turning the ship in the right direction. BTW, almost all the crime drives over from Oakland.
@jurban very good then… yeah Oakland has been scary for awhile. Twice my daughter went up there because that’s where her “sis” lived for awhile alwhule she was going to uc berkeley and both times they broke the window in the back of her car just to get into the trunk .. destructive little you know whats.
