@jurban He couldn't lay the groundwork for a working relationship with the Democrats, or he would have been removed months ago.
The Democrats have no motivation to reach out to him, they are better off peeling off just enough Republicans to form a majority. They are biding their time, not interrupting while the enemy hurts itself.
