I took this with the 6" scope and a 2X tele-extender, and it's funny but I could have sworn I could frame the whole moon with that equipment combination. Maybe I'm remembering wrong. Maybe this super supermoon really was just enough bigger.

I went to the roof with my 300mm telephoto and snapped some quick ones as it rose over San Francisco.

Then my wife and I opened a bottle of wine and danced to 5 different renditions of "Blue Moon".
