The transfers were about to kill 100 residents at Laguna Honda.

"I am writing to share the very good news that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) agreed to our request to continue the pause of involuntary transfers of Laguna Honda residents until September 19, 2023. CMS also extended payments for the care of our residents through March 19, 2024." --Roland Pickens
