According to Zillow our home's value has declined by 28% since the high point in April of 2021.
Fux.
I guess it's one of those mornings.
@jurban Kudos to my buyer I guess... I could've sold higher if I was more patient and they just scored a higher loan to value ratio before they even signed. Good on them though, this market is brutal and they're first time home owners...
Something my partners and I are pointing out to our potential sellers is that 2021 was an outlier, not a benchmark.
If you were wanting to sell though, then yes, that is a painful loss, (and Iโm sorry if thatโs the case, thatโs rough!) but if you were not planning on selling anyway, then compare it to the last five years and you might see growth more positive :) @jurban
I'm planning to live out my life in this home.
I designed it.
Fabricated most of the details myself.
And I maintain and improve it constantly.
I'm only going to see the value if we refinance it - which isn't going to happen for a while!
So, it's really only about the safety-net.
Ah I see! And right on, designing your own, that sounds cool!
Good luck on that refi when you can ๐๐ @jurban
@jurban I just found out the value of mine went up, significantly... Closing is scheduled in a couple weeks. I'm the seller....
