I think of CoSo as a giant ongoing potluck--folks have been setting the table and bringing their best for years. Everyone passes the dishes, shares what they have, & people get what they need. Squabbles happen but the cordial tone of the meal endures.

When others join in, the spirit continues. It's lovely. Happy to share.

Until someone arrives, demands the best dishes, berates the food quality, and complains.

There's space at the table. Just...learn and share. Bring a little grace.

I'm continually wondering if we can scale moderation. Can the community identify the problem people, clarify how they exceeded baseline standards of decency, and advise how to adjust their approach and/or language.

Ultimately, if that could be accomplished, we might directly improve governance at-scale as well.
