HIMAR's doesn't float, although experiments have been done with HIMARS strapped down to a landing ship deck it's the kind of thing that would only be done in an emergency, long after purpose designed shipboard weapons have been expended.
That being said, any island hopping campaign will need both HIMARS and Javelin ATGM's in small numbers to defend those islands.

No, Javelin stocks are not "dangerously depleted".
CSIS made the claim of "1/3 of US Javelin stockpiles sent to Ukraine" last month.
It was wrong then. Now we see Dahmer making the claim of "55-60%". It's even more wrong now.
FGM-148 Javelin went into service in 1996. The US had at least 25,000 launchers in service prior to Feb, 2022.
Ukraine got its first Javelin launchers in 2019 and up to now has received around 5500.
Neither CSIS nor Austin Dahmer bother to mention that...
A: Javelin production rates were artificially capped by Congress and can be increased dramatically almost at will.
B: New models of Javelin are rapidly replacing older systems in the US military inventory and the older models then shipped to other nations, like Ukraine.
C: Javelin's replacement is already out of prototype stage and in testing.

@Render yeah none of the people freaking out of Taiwan do, China has 1 troop transport that can move 4-6,000 troops they have few amphibious landing craft that suck, they tried a weird landing exercise using civilian ships (car moving cargo ships) it didn’t go well 🤣😂 I think they did it as a scare thing… I mean unless China has aquaman cloning tech we are good for a while
