On June 26th a journalist from the LA Times filed records requests with the Los Angeles Police, San Francisco Police, Los Angeles County Sheriff, San Diego County Sheriff, and Orange County Sheriff for lists of CCW holders.

On June 27th the California DOJ decided to bypass those pesky FOIA rules as well as both state and federal law by creating a website that doxed (name, address, phone, numbers, social security numbers) every single CCW holder in the state.

I've heard from assistant DAs that the Criminal Identification Index (CII) is extremely sensitive. It can be used for searching on past criminal or criminally-associated data.
