@GTCJeremy
I'm a big fan of those topics.
I'm working on a big project to document all of the issues with wildfire management. We're focusing on the wine country in N. Cal.
@GTCJeremy
Are you involved with advanced mobility like drones and VTOLs?
@GTCJeremy
Response and suppression is not as big of a usage at this time. Mostly in detection and controlled ignitions.
We're focused on defining the problems and avoiding a focus on solutions. I've developed a comprehensive methodology to organize all facets of wildfire management so that innovators can use better metrics and business cases to develop solutions.
@jurban I’m speaking at a conference this summer about data analysis in the fire service—we measure everything, but developing actionable insights for long lasting change is still a problem in most organizations. Some of it’s training, some of it’s capabilities, some of it’s culture. 🤷🏻♂️
@GTCJeremy
The topic of Root Causes is key to what we're doing. Orgs, politics, tech, economics, etc. all need a well-defined structure relative to the "problem".
Nevertheless, I'm a data geek and have dabbled in AI. I'm talking with the CEO of Firemappers.com this week, so I appreciate the value of providing actionable insights.
@jurban Plenty of work to do in that area; I’m focused more on how to change service delivery packages in rural and suburban fire departments, but there’s a lot of overlap!
