Does it matter? The mask providing O2, not pressure or protection from vacuum.

Actually, yes, it does matter.
If the seal is not good enough the O2 source will exhaust at full flow thereby cutting the protection time. Plus, they may pull so much outside atmosphere around a faulty seal that carbon monoxide or smoke from plastics could quickly become a problem
The ratio of outside to inside pull is critical
