There is a jetty and a rock outcropping in that area. I used to be a lifeguard at Crescent Beach which is between that spot and those houses.
Apparently the local news did their reporting in front of our old house. Trying to get that link now.
This reporter was right in front of our former beach house on Ocean Ave (ironic, huh?). Crescent Beach is at the end of that road.
