You could provide a little better guidance.
For instance, use an algorithm instead of memorizing unique characters.
Make it so that it "considers" the site you are entering. This makes it unique for every site.
Design it so that it is easy to update without changing the basic algorithm.
Don't tell anyone the algorithm.
- or write it on paper and give it to your spouse in a sealed envelop or put it in your safety deposit box.
