as the twitter exodus goes on (and I'm part of it), I'm starting to think it's probably a good thing. maybe twitter was too big. maybe it allowed certain people too much influence. maybe it was never about communication. maybe it's better for people to be spread out in communities like small towns.

@Iceman_Bob before I left Twitter I tweeted to some people I was coming to Counter.social and welcomed them to join me. This person is well known in the #sql and they responded "nope". Makes you wonder why they really use Twitter.
