@jprr don't know if I saw this one but I read the book and wanted to chuck a brick at the TV for every film adaptation I did see. I hate that they added a stupid love interest in two versions. Didn't happen in the book, it was still a good story so why must they shoehorn that nonsense in where it wasn't even present in the first place? Oh and don't get me started on the modern adaptation of The Time Machine where they gave it a sickly sweet ending rather than the original book ending. 🤣
