Yes, I saw that In the article also. But I do believe that the idea of a built in evolutionarily bias toward the herd. And away form independent reflection, has been accompanied by the proliferation of scientific reductionism, and the independent freestanding self. Popularized by mass media, and culture.
There is fertile ground in discussing the difference between the herd, and interdependence.
