I realize it is probably far too late, but ...

Since so many Dems do not know who they prefer at the top of the election ticket this year, I would love to see an urgent televised debate of up to 7 top candidates for President.

Note: neither Biden nor Harris had the best debate results in 2020.

I know many of you support the DNC a whole lot more than I do - I think they're inept. Just saying what I'd like to see.

@Priestess

Debate would be interesting but the fact remains $300M raised for Biden/Harris ticket cannot transfer to another candidate.

If Biden drops, only Harris is eligible to use those funds.

@LnzyHou
Unless some multi-billionaire donor like Bloomberg were to make a huge donation, it would take at least 3 months to raise $300 Million. It would be worth it to someone like Bloomberg to save America, our democracy, and way of life.
I'm glad Joe Biden was able to convince many people he's not as "Weekend at Bernies" as he appeared to be during the debate with Trump.

@Priestess

I’ve run a couple campaigns for local candidates & worked on several state/federal campaigns.

The best Biden solution I’ve heard was posted here yesterday. (Wish I could remember who)

Elect Biden/Harris and Biden step down after January 20, 2025. If his advisors, staffers & wife care more about the country than another 4 years in the White House, they will convince him this is best strategy for America.

@LnzyHou Jeez, Lindsay, the problem with that is that Biden might have lost to Trump, so there won’t be anything to step down from.

@johnldeboer

That is true. Without hundreds of millions in campaign funds who else can beat trump?(in your opinion).

@LnzyHou Big donors are freezing their contributions as long as Biden is the candidate. So there is money out there. We need to be enthusiastic about our candidate! Right now that isn’t the case. Let’s go with Harris. Passing her over would be a terrible move. Let’s go down fighting, if that happens, rather than go down because of loyalty/affection. Biden says other candidates in the past had just as bad approval ratings. True. And they lost!

@johnldeboer @LnzyHou

Piss off not only African Americans as a whole, but specifically:
Strong black women who’ve carried this party many times.

*If* it’s not Biden, it has to Harris.
That’s the only 2 choices or the party will lose more voters than they gain.

@MrsDanaD @johnldeboer

If it’s Harris, black women voters will save Dem’s asses again.

@johnldeboer

It’s time for a pit bull. Kamala Harris is nothing if not a pit bull. No more of this “we go high” crap. High is not in the GQP consciousness.

Decades ago, Joe was the prince of hands across the aisle. The only things across the aisle now are handguns, shooting down American justice & policy.

I would prefer Gretchen Whitmer, but I will support Harris if she is nominated.

@LnzyHou @johnldeboer

If the fight worth fighting is in the mud?
Get muddy.
