I’ve never flown in a private jet and am not a member of the NetJets set, so I’m curious. Any private jet flyers out there who can tell me how much a flight from D.C. to Alaska would cost?
@johnldeboer A couple of years ago I got a quote from a charter jet company for a round-trip flight for eight from Delaware to SFO. We're not private-jet people; my mom refuses to go to commercial airports anymore and I wanted to bring her to California. The charter company gave me an estimate of $50k. We didn't make it past the quotation stage.

The cost to charter a private flight to/from Alaska starts at around $2,000 an hour* in a turboprop, $5,000 an hour* in a light jet, $7,000 an hour* in a midsize jet, and $10,000 an hour* or more for a long range jet or VIP airliner.
