On a positive note, my orthopod recommended Voltaren (oral) for my hip pain while I’m waiting for my replacement. It works! Some nausea, but it’s worth it.

@johnldeboer
I had both of mine replaced almost 20 years ago. It was one of the easier surgeries I've had. Good luck to you

@Idissent I’ve had a knee done about 17 years ago, and I don’t want to go through that again! But they say hips are much easier to take. Shoulders are the worst, seems to be the consensus. I couldn’t find any research on brain replacements, unfortunately.

@johnldeboer @Idissent my left knee replacement 14 years ago was the longest recovery. Bilateral hip replacements 2012 rt.,2017lt. Easier recovery but normal pain post op. Lt. Shoulder replacement last February and I had to full range of motion in 4 months post op. Good luck with your surgery 🙏.

@johnldeboer
Hips are the easiest from what I understand. Mine was a breeze

@johnldeboer

Your hip will be pain free after you heal from replacement.
