i just posted some things to facebook marketplace. hot damn! things go quick. i posted at like 6 am. mostly utility shelving for free & a beautiful kids day bed for a $100. for me, the p/up was more important than getting a bunch of $$ for them.

but i got 1 dude picking up the shelving right now & 2 slated for the bed depending on who can come & disassemble (we put the bed together in the room so it won't fit thru the doorway now).

go figure. never thought fb had a use. there it is....

@singlemaltgirl Our neighbourhood's Buy Nothing group on FB is on FIRE. I love it, and have both given away and gotten tons of stuff that still has loads of life left, and otherwise might have hit the landfill. FB is occasionally useful! πŸ˜‚

@jenneviere well, i was just talking to dude who was taking the utility shelving. b/c he was an immigrant, he checks the marketplace all the time so he can help new canadians get free or cheap but decent quality stuff for their new homes. they wouldn't know how this works in πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦ & he has a minivan so he can transport most things. he said it was his way of giving back b/c he was helped in the same way. lovely dude. 😊
