Several sad conversations with people, mostly women, over 65. They are heartbroken and gutted. Trying to figure out how they will survive without SS or Medicare. Fearful for children and grandchildren. Despondent over all the political work they put in over decades, only to have it gone, then to be blamed for the loss because polls said their age group didn’t vote. No more energy, done with politics, and going to cocooning. Self preservation time.
