How the hell did that alert thing come through on an old phone that's no longer even connected to a phone/data service? It's only hooked up to wifi. F you Trump
@jaybee165 As I understand it, the whole alert thing is built in to the cellular networks and phone OSes.
I imagine it doesn't require a tower log in via an active service, just like you can still call your country's emergency number from a cell phone that isn't logged in to an account, or has no credit.
If your phone can 'see' a tower, the message gets pushed through.
