I like when people have both masculine and feminine aspects to them. It's very attractive. I don't know why certain groups get so upset about it. I can't imagine being with someone who was so rootbound by gender roles that they could never flex out of them. Men who can nurture are fantastic, and I hear some people like women who can fix engines. Can you imagine someone who could never, ever step outside those gender roles? It would be weird.

That's what's on my mind.

This hostage taking bullshit has been going on for my entire lifetime, for the flimsiest and stupidest of BS excuses, and it is NOT going to stop, and I have no more benefit of the doubt to give them. None.

Minimac#2, my high schooler, was accepted into a summer internship program with the county, and he has some choice over where they'll place him/what tasks he'll be doing.

He requested to be placed in Water Treatment!

Which, all right. I get it.

Water Treatment may not be exciting to many people, some might even consider it unappealing, but I think it's cool! He'll be learning how to collect and test water samples for the county. He chose that over working for the lawyers.

I am *lucky* today, to have work to do.

It blows my mind sometimes, when people compliment my so-called talents. 🤯 Feels so weird. I always feel bad when people tell me they would suck at what I do, but the thing is... if they'd spent decades doing it, they would be good at it too.

Plus, I *still* have to get over all those other people who literally told me how worthless I am and I would never be able to support myself.

Those people want me to work for free. 🙄

I have a new-ish neighbor from Ukraine, and her English is better than my Ukranian, but not by much, so communicating is challenging. We try to be friends and have really broken conversations whenever we run into each other outside. I saw her today during my run, she was walking her cute little dog (who is so cute!) and I wanted to say Slava Ukraine, but didn't, because I thought that might be weird, so I just waved extra enthusiastically, which probably was also weird, but too late now.

My neighborhood backs up to a little farm, and they have goats. Took the dogs for a walk this morning, and there was a goat absolutely bleating his head off, as loud as he could and non-stop, standing right next to the fence basically yelling into the neighbor's back door. 😂 That was new.

I think he might be quarantined and is not happy about it.

Makes me feel a little better about my beagle and her baying.

I got to see a pretty sunrise this morning, and there is something so energizing about sunrise to me. I hope today treats everyone kindly, and that you are all doing as well as possible. 🌄 😎
